Lancaster City Fire Foundation Fundraiser and Demo

Hello,

These are some photos from the Lancaster City Fire Foundation Event On North Queen Street in Lancaster City.  Lancaster City Fire had apparatus on display and also performed some evolutions for the crowd. They had a vehicle extrication demonstration and also did a rappeling demo off the top of the Queen Street Parking Garage.

The first two photos are from the rappeling demo. The bottom one is of the new Lancaster City Truck 2 had a call.

House Fire...

Hey Everyone,

This was taken last Thursday in Elizabethtown Borough. Wyatt and I were out running around when I heard the box struck for the house fire. After about a minute, the fire dispatcher announced that PD was on the scene with a well involved house. So Wyatt had kept asking to see "woo-woo's" so we headed up. We got there about 20-25 minutes into the incident. The photo is of Engine 7-4-2 supplying multiple attack lines on the fire scene.

Do not adjust your monitor...

Hey Everyone,

No need to adjust your monitor. The color is fine. This was taken at a playground down in New Jersey while we were on vacation.

I hope you don't mind my lack of commentary sometimes. Sometimes, I really don't have anything or not alot to say...

Have a good day!

Cross that bridge when you get there...

Hey everyone,

This photo was taken from the second floor of the Philadelphia Fire Museum looking east towards New Jersey.  I have tried in my older version of photoshop to remove the raindrops on the window that I am looking out of, but so far no luck. If anyone has any suggestions, Please feel free to comment...

Have a great weekend!

Thomas is in town...

Hey Everyone,

Hope you had a good weekend. This was taken Saturday at the Strasburg Railroad. Thomas the train was in town visiting again. This was taken as we were arriving. Sometime ago, Brian Bastinelli had a photo and it looked like a model or almost made out of clay. I thought it was a really cool photo so with this one, I tried to recreate that look.

Have a good day!

TMI Super Generators on the move...

Hey Everyone,

Hope you are having a good week. I took these photos last night. If you are from my area, you have heard about the two MASSIVE TMI Generators on the road enroute to Three Mile Island. These were taken at it's staging point last night at a local store just south of Willow Street. The top speed on the vehicles that is transporting them are 3 miles per hour. Each Generator and transport will be 150 feet long, 24 feet high and weigh 811 tons. The convoy will weigh more then 3 million pounds and stretches the length of a football field.  At it's current speed of 3 mph. It will take 20 days to reach it's destination. It was quite the the sight to see last night.

Have a good weekend...

A well known Philly landmark...

Hello Everyone,

I am back from Vacation. These Photos were taken last Saturday. I went with some other friends to Philadelphia for the day and evening to buff the city and have dinner with one of the companies later that night.

For lunch we stopped at GENO's cheesesteaks. This was the first time I was ever there and It was quite the experiance. When we arrived, we saw a crowd of people just down the street and it is none other then Dr. Phil and his wife. So I shot his photo and went over and got in line. After I place my order, I hear this voice behind me and this hand on my shoulder and It's Dr. Phil and there are about 5 TV cameras pointed at me, Dr Phil says, "Sounds like you know what you're doing, what did you order?" Apparently, Dr. Phil's new season is starting soon and he's going across the country solving people's problems on the street.

So you may see me on Dr. Phil...You may not

Let me tell you though, Dr. Phil went a little excessive on the makeup...

Hope your having a good week!

Chili anyone??

Hey Everyone,
I hope you had a great labor day weekend and are enjoying the holiday today. I unfortunatley had to work. I will be posting some shots this week from the festival. When we were there, there was not a whole lot going on with regards to the native americans. So I did some shots at random of the general area. The two shots today are of one chili stand I thought was unique. It was taken on State Street, just west of Second Street. The other photo is of the cutest little boy in the world, my son Wyatt with a statue of the Harrisburg City Cow, along RiverFront Park on Front Street. I told Wyatt to give me his cheesy smile and he sort of smiled, but looked in the opposite direction from where I was to take the photo. Oh well..
Enjoy the day!

Some Wildlife for Brad...

Hello,

Sorry I have not posted the last two days. I was transferred to day shift on Wed and am still trying to adjust to being back on daylight hours. I had worked second shift for most of my career but since Wyatt came along, I opted to go back to days so I could be at home nights with him and get to see him a little more.

These photos were taken at the Oregon Dairy on Oregon Pike in the northern end of Manheim Township. It is a huge farm that also has a restaurant and a grocery store on the property. It also has a small playground for kids. The two photos are of one of the many wildlife animals that live on the property. The first photo Wyatt was looking at the deer and then turned away at the last moment. The second one was a close up of the animal grazing.

Have a great weekend everyone!
